If you are interested in either program under the Bachelor of Information Technology degree then you may want to attend some of the following events; they are designed to give you an idea of what you might learn in either program (through example presentations, practical workshops, and direct recruitment discussions). Depending on the event, you can also discuss with dedicated recruitment officers or faculty members who can discuss with you about the relevant details of the courses, portfolios, etc. Here is a list of the up-and-coming events from September 2009 until May 2010 (note: some of these days are subject to change):

Network Technology Q&A (27th Feb'10)
Are you interested in the Network Technology program? On February 27th there will be one-on-one Q&A session as well as a tour of facilities to show prospective students the amazing potential that can be gained from following this program; from the security of job prospects, to the range of skills that will be learnt. This event will be hosted by Professor Marc St-Hilaire and held from 11:00am till 12:00noon, followed by a tour of the facilities, starting in Azrieli Pavilion Room 136. [  N] |

March Break Program for Engineering (19th Mar'10)
For the March Break Program for Engineering, the School of Information Technology will be presenting a workshop from the Interactive Multimedia & Design program. The workshop, titled "Going Green: Putting Real Actors into Virtual Scenes" will be presented in Session 1 from 10:00am → 10:45am and Session 2 from 11:00am → 11:45am. The workshop will discuss some of the latest movies, as well as provide practical demonstration of techniques employed. Click here to register [  P] |

Carleton University Experience (28th Apr'10)
This year the Carleton University Experience (CUE), which introduces Grade 10 students to the life at Carleton University, will have a presentation by Prof. Chris Joslin from the Interactive Multimedia & Design program introducing physics-based animation. The presented titled "When Worlds Collide: Physics-based 3D Animation" will cover a practical introduction on how 3D computer animation and physics equations have combined to produce stunning results that can be created in minutes. The presentation will be from 10:00am till 10:45am on Wednesday the 28 th of April. [  R] |
